Every day you face certain exposures as a business owner, some common to all operations and some that are specific to your industry sector.
A Commercial General Liability policy insures your business for an injury to someone or damage to their property resulting from actions by your company or its employees. It expands broadly over many basic risks and will help with your legal defense costs if those arise. It will pay settlements and damages up to the limit listed in your policy and can be enhanced with commercial umbrella insurance.
But a general liability policy goes only so far. It doesn’t include such exposures arising out of professional services; employment practices liability (EPL); directors and officers (D&O); and cyber liability. For each of these risks, and many others you will need to add coverage. At Evans, Pires & Leonard, we have a portfolio of advanced insurance products that can be added as endorsements to your General Liability policy or secured separate policies.
What’s more, some of our clients have liability risks particular to their industry segment, such as sport liability and sexual abuse for educational institutions, and contractors pollution liability for environmental contractors – just to name a couple. We can accommodate these exposures with specific programs available from our insurer partners.
